The bottle gave me an idea. How about recycling the bottle by cutting off the top part at the shoulder so that you get a uniform glass form on which to wind the coils with the cores inside the bottle? A good former although fragile, good insulation between the coils and cores, also some cooling of the coil through heat conduction in the glass. You could also get bigger glass bottles for bigger diameter coils.
