I suggest to choose a frequency of 137.5 kHz +- 50 Hz, because this is the range for OPDS receiving stations using DF6NMs tool/decoder. There we can directly use the exportet txt files that are generated for OPDS anyway, to look for your signal. For weak carriers or QRSS i recommend 136.172 kHz +- 3 Hz. You will find some active LF grabbers showing this range in 22 mHz (ish) and 10s scroll rate. 73, Stefan Am 07.03.2016 21:35, schrieb Paul Nicholson: > > Today saw another 200m of wire added to the long wire antenna. > > Its impedance dips to a minimum of 70 ohms at about 170kHz > corresponding to a free-space quarter wavelength of 440m which > is somewhat less than my estimated total length of wire. > > 100uH in series brings it into tune at about 135kHz and presents > an impedance of 50 ohms and the tuning is quite broad, I don't > think I need a variable inductance. > > Can anyone advise a good frequency on which to test which > won't get in anyone's way?
