Sorry. A carrier in front and after the transmission could help to see if there is a chance at all to decode something. I know you're sometimes TXing a carrier before the message but often it was to weak to be visible in the 424uHz window. Maybe it will work much better from the forest. I'm still not collection FFT data from there but i carrier would help to see if and how much better the situation is from there. Soon more, when i go to use a different (better) soundcard to add a filter to the current one... 73, Stefan Am 19.02.2016 15:15, schrieb uwe-jannsen@kabelmail.de: > OK, Paul. probably no transmission today. it is taining. > > Stefan, how are you? > > Uwe/dj8wx > > *Von:* Paul Nicholson > *Gesendet:* 19.02.2016 10:41 > *An:* > *Betreff:* Re: AW: Re: AW: Re: VLF: 8270.000 Hz and forest VLF grabber > preparations...DONE.. > > Uwe wrote: > > > start 2016-02-18 16:00:00 > > period 30 > > chars 2 (368bits) > > duration 03:04:00.00 > > repeat on 30min > > All decoded with no problem. I tried to decode each of your transmissions of the last days, without success.

All decoded with no problem. So far we have

16:00 Eb/N0 = +10.4 dB -24.2 deg abs phase
19:30 Eb/N0 = +8.8 dB -7.2 deg abs phase
23:00 Eb/N0 = +11.0 dB -1.8 deg abs phase
02:30 Eb/N0 = +10.8 dB -10.2 deg abs phase
06:00 Eb/N0 = +4.0 dB +7.2 deg abs phase, ref 0 0 -30 -30

All decoded with constant phase reference except for 06:00 and the
absolute phase doesn't change much for the whole transmission.

The 06:00 shows the disruptive effect of the terminator passage.
