This evening I=E2=80=99ll test on MF WSPR2  a short 5 meters long vertical = whip. It=20 is a thin wire inside a telescopic fiberglass fishing pole.

 

Including coil and ground resistances, the base = impedance=20 is 54 - 10100 j. The antenna needs about 3.4mH serial coil to tune=20 it.

 

Computed effeciency is =E2=80=93 33 dB. Using 1 = Watt output TX for=20 this test, the expected ERP is 0.5 mW and 0.75 mW for the = EIRP.

 

Base current is 135 mA and RMS RF voltage is = 1350=20 V.
