"DK7FC" is from the city, an active E field antenna, 38m above ground, on the top of the institute in *JN49IK00*. There i'm running a stereo receiver, or two identical receivers. They use different antennas. One is a passive E field T-antenna, the other one is a loop beaming to about 300/120 deg. The MF spectrum is sent via a stereo vorbis stream and WLAN to a PC here in the institute, where i'm running 2 WSPR instances and 6 SpecLab instances to generate spectromgrams beeing uploaded to http://www.iup.uni-heidelberg.de/schaefer_vlf/DK7FC_remote_Grabber.html Both WSPR instances working on the remote stream signals are running as "DK7FC/P". My idea was to use the same call for these 2 different antennas to reduce the number of spots beeing uploaded under my call. Normally the WSPR database rejects an upload if it is already existing. So there should be just one upload from DK7FC/P for each decode. However sometimes it happens that both spots are uploaded. I don't know why and i cannot decide to upload only the spot having the best SNR :-/ So i can see the difference between the city location and the garden and the difference between loop and T ant. Often the Loop has less QRN and signals from UK are better on the loop. For example LA3EQ often does not appear on the loop but on the T antenna and sometimes the city RX produces a better SNR as the gardens T ant (both E field / omnidirectional). Sometimes i can see a difference in the QSB between city and garden over that short distance. It's a big playing field! :-) Ah, then, there is a 3rd WSPR instance running just sometimes in daytime, also as DK7FC/P. There i'm combining E+H with a certain time/phase delay within SpecLab and feed it via VAC to WSPR. This forms a cardioid directional antenna. I can receive DH5RAE and DJ0ABR in daytime then, but only with this combined signals.
