I got the system noise down to 1.5nV/m per root Hz which is far lower than it needs to be I think. I'm a bit worried about tuning drift with the junk box parts. Front-end filter Q is high and as tuning drifts with temperature change it will throw the phase calibration out. When a distant carrier shows a phase change during the night, I won't know if it's real or just the front-end cooling down. > So Paul, hoping that your receiver is completed and your > antenna is already plugged in, Not ready yet. Lots of work still to do. Today I built the antenna and I already have cable run out to the rx site. This week I'll put it all together but I don't expect it to work straight away. There will be oscillations, overload, intermod, interference - all the usual problems, and I'll probably have to make up some new software to get a clean PPS timing measurement when the LF is mixed in with it. -- Paul Nicholson --
