It is still on (1520UTC) and is certainly not QRP. The ERP is approximately 0.4W. You have listened for me before but have not heard me. This is why I do not often use CW on 136kHz. I get reports from 2000km away every day in daylight when I use a slow mode like QRSS10 or Opera 32, but CW ranges are very limited unless very high power can be used. Several years ago, it was possible to get greater ranges on 136kHz CW, and I was running lower ERP then. I believe QRM from commercial stations and high noise from local QRN has raised the noise floor too much. Thanks for the report anyway. 73 de Mike, G3XDV ======================================= > Hi Mike, > Just read your mail and lsn on lf. > Nothing! > Did you stop already? > Or is it a local qrp test? > > 73, df5qg > > Christian Groeger > > Mike Dennison schrieb: > > >For those who prefer to listen to a real callsign, I am currently > >transmitting a CW beacon on 136.8kHz.
