My name is Jean Morgan, KG7NJQ. I live just north of Seattle, Washington, and I figured I would send out a initial "hello" and introduction. I have been a ham for less than a year but have dived deep into the hobby, partially thanks to my Dad, AF7KE. I have attained my General, and quickly became well versed with basic digital mode operation over HF and VHF (Little MFSK, Feld.Hell, Olivia, Contestia, 500+ JT65\9 & PSK contacts). Weak signal modes such as JT65 are quite intriguing and I have began reading the past month about WOLF and QRSS, and the softwares used such as Spectrum lab and Argo, on top of my VLF\LF reading, which most obviously interests me! My main conversation topic that I would like to stimulate, if possible, is what can someone interested and wanting to play outside of my 160-6m band allocations, do with the lower side of the frequency spectrum? I understand I don't have TX capabilities on many of the frequencies talked about in the past ~day that I have been subscribed to the reflector, due to my ITU zone, but I do understand I have 1750m LowFER capabilities.. would you suggest focusing on getting a receive then transmit capable setup on that band? I am open to any and all knowledge, whether it is from personal experience or a good resource on the web. tl;dr - Where do I ACTUALLY start? Thanks all! 73 de Jean KG7NJQ --089e0149cb50c497b5050cfaa45b Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
