The aim was to lengthen the short cycle signals, not to find them in background noise. The reassigns spectrum method helps as well. Experiments with averaging, to remove the noise from signals, have been conducted with some good results. Over a long averaging period the timing varied causing blurring. This may be due to sound card and PC timing variation or signal timing variations and/or phase changes in the signal. Regards, Edgar Moonah, Tasmania.
