If the phase is anything to go by, the max path length (minimum phase lead) occurs around 04:00 UT. LWPC fails to predict these smaller details of the propagation. It probably would if I could put in some more detailed ionosphere model. There's a lot of chemistry going on in that plasma overnight - recombinations and so on taking place with various rates. When sending opera the transmitter is off for half the time, therefore not so good for measurements. Good however for signal ID.
