Saturating the spectrogram here at 13dB S/N and the actual level is around 21dB in 278 uHz bandwidth. I knew we were onto a winner at about 03:00 the other morning when I ran a spectrum and saw a strong and very sharp line exactly at the right frequency. I was very pleased and even more so when I ran a series of phase measurements and the signal was obviously coming from a well disciplined oscillator. Given such a quality transmission there's not a lot for me to do except plot graphs and send emails. Although the arithmetic said your signal should be an easy find, I half expected to have to work for it. I hope that somebody will soon receive Uwe's signal on 8.27 kHz which has similar ERP and stability, but the east-west path has quite a bit more attenuation. Now I must retreat back to VLF to get on with some other projects. -- Paul Nicholson http://abelian.org --
