What ho chaps

Conditions

Still poor over this side of the pond on the Pacific side at this Geolat. Managed to get John BDQ at Op32 but high loss last night.

Sadly nothing coming over the Pole @ LF/MF and visual aurora here, even with the chunk out of the  Harvest moon.

HF over  the pole on 20m showing high loss today and a lot of freq dispersion showing on G0PKT QRSS on 30m - as they say " for those that wait..."

On the positive side Ive been testing remote (and here I mean 150m away) tuning off the VE7SL Octoloop using 4 MVAM109s and a 100K pot and a PP3 :-) and a load of decoupling -it appears fruit full and can tweak from 100-220Khz in its present confiog and without a load of coupling back to the shack noise. At the loop If I parallel a Mica I can get down to 70KHz and below and still working on how to remotely switch out a couple of turns so it can be used on MF with ease.

Tying it down as we are expecting 80mph nearby and a few flakes of wet snow.

Hi LF group,

Now the LF DX season is definitely coming. First decodes from a path passing the auroral oval to UA0AET and UA0SNV:
