Hi  =3BLaurence=2C
= =0A= last days I made some tests on 8970Hz=2C mode CASTLE=2C shift 0=2C002Hz transmitting the letter =93W=94 i= n 5000sec/dot. Pse see:
=0A= http://abelian.org/vlf/fbins.shtml#p=3D1363442400&=3Bb=3D080&=3Bs=3Ds= p

=0A= the signs could be seen on all grabbers I know.
=0A= Now I changed the speed and the shift to 10000sec/dot and 0= =2C001Hz=2C
=0A= I`ll give the PA some coal extra.

=0A=  =3B<=3BVLF
=0A= <=3BIf anyone wants to spark up on 8970Hz again from Eu Im looking at slo= w QRSS's and shoving the results out on the web site.
=0A= <=3BThe s/n noise is now vastly improved down there too using the E field= L400B.

=0A=  =3Bpse=2C Laurence=2C let us have an other try.

=0A= I think I recall that the late G3AQC=2C maybe others =3B had a clever w= ay of installing mods allowing it to be "switched" =3B between 137 and = 500 - if anyone has any details Id like to hear or see them - with thanks.<= br>=0A=

=0A= Well - its been a very poor LF season up here to date - with only a couple = of Eu openings=2C obviously my stars havent been aligned=2C or moreover the= Coronal holes have been. =3B At least the nights are getting shorter=0A=
=0A=  =3B- HF conditions are very poor too at this time. Still its good X co= untry skiing weather and the Aurora are pretty.

=0A= I spent yesterday after noon with our local power utility linesman tracking= down a noise source(s) pulsing away at 9Khz prf from 50kHz to 5MHz - trace= d one to a house about 0.4 miles from here=2C and I have a second one with = the same sort of signature which is proving more difficult to DF. =3B I= havent approached the owners yet=2C but heck sitting outside the offenders= house on the road in the car with the SDRIQ and another L400B magmount the= pulses were stronger than local NDB and some MW broadcast signals and a hu= ge amount being re radiated from the underground power lines - so you can i= magine something fairly meaty shoving out this do doo=2C especially as I ca= n hear the same signatures (but maybe not the same source) on overhead HT p= ower lines some 5 miles away - Im guessing home automation=2C but it might = be a wayward lighting switch or blender :-) . If your interested theres a v= isual capture of the interference source covering the MF band at
