MF/LF
First observations indicate that the radio is a good performer on HF with appropriate antennas but on MF/LF with large antenna arrays there is cross modulation and overload. This could be overcome with a stepped ext attenuator or using smaller antennas on receive.
Some other radios that I havd tried are useless on LF/MF with small antennas but very good with large antenna arrays.

Mal,

FlexRadio info, valid for Flex 5K and 3 K (Flex 1k5 below 500 kHz)

Note 7: Customer provided pre-selector or appropriate low pass filter(s) required to eliminate images when used below 1.8 MHz

For a good performance of your SDR you need a band pass filter for 136 kHz and 500 kHz, an attenuator is not enough to get rid of all the ghost signals that show up on and around these bands.

Albert
