I've only been back listening 136 for a month or so and i had not noticed it until last night, last time i was on in 2007 i don't think i heard it either so must be varied in it's operation. The 40kW is doing well anyway, s-meter stuck at s7 here... gmsk sounds bit like noise really ;-) Rob M0DTS On 26/02/2012 22:29, ALAN MELIA wrote: > Hi Rob that is not noise that is one of the oldest residents of the band > :-)) It is the Canadian Naval station at Newport Corner nr Halifax Nova Scotia. It is nor unusual for it tobe 30 to 40dB over the noise level.
