I understand the new post WRC allocation will not become effective until January 2013. Under the circumstances I do not expect to see Ofcom extending the existing NOVs and it is unlikely they will give us the new band until the ITU decision is ratified. You will have seen in the latest RadCom that 500kHz was discussed at the latest RSGB/Ofcom meeting (and probably what the emails people have had resulted from this discussion), the next such meeting is October.
