Trevor suggested trying to use the PA0 stations. I found a better position for my 750mm square indoor loop and PA0OM was steady copy. So now we change the TX station the RX station and the path now part land part sea. We chased OP4 and OP8 down to the noise floor 3dB lower and they both failed to de-code. No advantage can be seen in using OP8 instead of OP4 as in my previous tests. WSPR was tried and returned very similar S/N reports to OP4 and failed at the lowest power level also. 14:22 500 PA0AM Op4 -29 dB 322 km 10Watts 14:18 500 PA0AM Op4 -30 dB 10Watts 14:14 500 PA0AM Op8 -29 dB 322 km 10Watts 14:05 500 PA0AM Op8 -31 dB 322 km 10Watts 13:52 500 PA0A Op8 -22 dB 493 km 100Watts 13:44 500 PA0A Op4 -21 dB 493 km 100Watts 13:39 500 PA0AM Op4 -27 dB 322 km ODD REPORT 13:34 500 PA0AM Op4 -21 dB 322 km 100Watts 13:30 500 PA0AM Op8 -22 dB 322 km 100Watts 13:22 500 PA0AM Op8 -23 dB 322 km 100Watts 13:12 500 PA0AM Op4 -22 dB 322 km 100Watts 13:05 500 PA0AM Op4 -22 dB 322 km 100Watts 13:00 500 PA0AM Op8 -23 dB 322 km 100Watts 12:50 500 PA0AM Op8 -25 dB 322 km 100Watts 12:40 500 PA0AM Op4 -22 dB 322 km 100Watts 73 Eddie G3ZJO
