What will be the next threat to our favori= te hobby ?

Hi Markus - well I think it is PLC. We had a "Turtle" i= nstalled in the electric meter and caused all sorts of QRM at LF (sounded li= ke musical ticking sound at 137khz USB. Didn't like it and had a tech visit w= ho was sympathetic and we agreed that it would be removed and my. Meter is m= anually read. More houses appeared around me so probably them - I'm just sta= rting to install a whole house 150AMP per phase filter which should knock th= ings down further if its conducted noise. Ill report on findings but It wasn= 't done this trip and time at home is so so short. Ill play with the antenna= e settings between the K9AYs and the probe and see if I can discern more.

Wondering what these "blobs" really are... we often see similar erratic= dashes on other American grabbers, eg. VE2IQ. Looks like low data rate MFSK= , perhaps power line communication?

Congratulations on the nice DX result!

Good signals from DK7FC and another in the earlier evening time in Alaska. N= early a full call from Stefan -

Antennae is a small probe located about 45ft up - this evening getting bette= r s/n than the 2 element K9AY beaming North. Probably a wave angle thing aga= inst noise as its pretty quiet. Odd, but there you go - small can be Beautif= ul

The occasional Blob of carrier I'm going to blame on HAARP which is up the r= oad - got to blame it on something. Nice to see pre Eu  dawn lift -= second day in a row me thinks.
