Keep the scan coil assemblies as well - they are a useful source of copper wire, if nothing else. See Gary G4WGT's page on uses for scan components... http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/wgtaylor/Sub%209kHz%205.html 73, Dave G3WCB IO91RM -----Original Message----- From: owner-rsgb_lf_group@blacksheep.org [mailto:owner-rsgb_lf_group@blacksheep.org]On Behalf Of John Rabson Sent: 27 December 2011 10:20 To: rsgb_lf_group@blacksheep.org Subject: LF: Ferrite cores from TVs LF, Analogue television has disappeared from this area, so I have two CRT-based receivers which are no longer needed (and they never did work too well). Would it be worth trying to salvage the line output transformers before I take the equipment to the tip? Seasons Greetings, John F5VLF
