The peak noise level during the data bursts is considerably higher of course, and creates bright vertical streaks on the spectrogram that obliterate dots and mask spaces. So there would be a significant advantage to shifting the centre of QRSS operation to a slightly different frequency. The HGA22 transmitter is not objectionable during daytime here, but is very noticeable in the CW segment of the band after dark, so moving CW operation up in frequency might have something to reccomend it also. But I quite like listening to the music programmes on DLF which are audible via the HGA22 carrier and the Luxembourg effect ;-) Cheers, Jim Moritz 73 de M0BMU
