Secondary rectifier diodes were=20 shortcutted and as a result the primary switching FET got damaged. There=20 is a shortcut to the gate now so i assume the FET driver is damaged too.=20 To much effort now to repair that since special PFC ICs are used which=20 are not easy available. I'll take a new one and prepare that for 13.8 V=20 again. Apart from that i will use the acual supply now which is a SMPS too,=20 adjustable from 0...320 VDC. Will be on air soon again.. 73, Stefan/DK7FC Am 13.09.2011 11:52, schrieb mal hamilton: > Stefan > I use a Linear PSU which I find convenient because on the Primary side = I use > a variac and I can control my voltage output from 0 to 65 Voltss > I know some SMPSU'S allow voltage variations but most do not. > The advantage of the smpsu is Size compared to a Linear psu. > I suppose there are better ways if the mains PSU, is incorporated with= the > amplifier design.
