I have used ( i think i have mentioned this in my earlier mails) High-Z preamp in PA0RDT design of mini_whip antenna I did it simply beacuse it was there ( some time ago i have built 2 miniwhips .. ) btw, quite recently i have found almost the same circuit as that one of PA0RDT - pse, have a look here: http://www.qsl.net/ko6bb/lf-preamp-2.html Stefan, Ok, i was indeed 'prepared' for your transmission and my 'patience' has been awarded because i managed to receive Ossi, OE5ODL using my ferrite rod antenna. Well, i was receiving "5"'s but thanks to Chris, 4X1RF, later, i have learned it was Ossi :) i am glad that you had successful RX experiments using loops and ferrite rods and of course, i wiil try to listen to ur signal in forthcoming LF experiments. 73, Piotr, sq7mpj qth: Lodz/jo91rs/ --------------010405020009070400000802 Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit W dniu 2011-09-05 14:32, Daniele Tincani pisze:

Hello Stefan, LF,

I'm looking for a suitable preamp for my "coming sooner or later" tunable ferrite antenna (hopefully covering as much as possible of LF band with a var. cap. plus some switchable additional cap.). Any suggestions?

Best regards
D.

Hi Daniele, Stefan, LF Group

Daniele, as already  Stefan has pointed out you can use Jim, M0BMU High-Z preamp.
I have used ( i think i have mentioned this in my earlier mails)    High-Z preamp   in PA0RDT design of mini_whip antenna
I did it simply beacuse it was there ( some time ago i have built 2 miniwhips .. )
btw, quite recently i have found almost the same circuit as that one of PA0RDT -  pse, have a look here:

Stefan,
Ok, i was indeed 'prepared' for your transmission and my 'patience' has been awarded because i managed to receive
Ossi, OE5ODL using my ferrite rod antenna.  Well, i was receiving "5"'s but thanks to Chris, 4X1RF, later, i have learned it was
Ossi :)  i am glad that  you had successful  RX experiments using loops and ferrite rods and of course, i wiil try to listen to ur signal in
 forthcoming LF experiments.
