In my opinion there will always work better than ferrites at LF. If you have problems with local inteference then there are a number of ways of attacking this. Balance is one of the best and isolation using transformers also can be effective. The cost can initially be very low, whereas buying a load of ferrote can be quite costly and you may be disappoined by the results. Remember the success of an antenna depends much on its surroundings. As an alternative, the "Miniwhip" does work and works well for many. Unfortunatley you may just have missed a long thread on that topic and I am afraid there are no archives on this reflector. This is my first post in this group, thanks for letting me join the group. I'm doing some test receiving LF, and looking for a good antenna to build. Searching the web I found this page: http://www.stormwise.com/page28.htm It looks they are built with large ferrite rods they advertize in this page: http://www.stormwise.com/page26.htm .845" diameter and up to 36 inches long! 73, Marcelino - LU7DSU --- El lun 15-ago-11, Fausto Coletti escribió: De: Fausto Coletti Asunto: Re: LF: Ferrite RX antennas Para: rsgb_lf_group@blacksheep.org Fecha: lunes, 15 de agosto de 2011, 4:18 In Italy there is this company with a well-stocked catalog http://www.hamcenter.it/ The owner, my friend Paul I4PZP is very helpful Fausto IK4NMF
