you don't say if you want a hardware solution or a software one.

I think if he asks how to do it in SpecLab, he wants a software solution (?).

Spec-lab  audio  gen  - sweep  tone  - how 2 ?

Is it  possible to  arrange  for a  single  tone  o/p  to  be swept  from a  start  freq  to  stop  freq

ie   100  Hz  >  4 KHz  , with   linear  or  log  frequency  change  ?

Can  various  options  but not a  sweep  tone  function ?

Tnx _ G..

Still, just enable the generator and choose the desired shape, like sine and the desired frequency. Then additionally choose FM and choose the a sawtooth shape and the deviation you want to have. Just put the generators output to the Spectrum Analyzer and watch what comes out.
Hope this helps a bit.
