To generate a WSPR TX tone at odd frequencies set the= band to "other", dial frequency to "0.0000" and TX fr= equency to "0.00897". It appears you can generate a WSPR TX tone= this way right up to 22kHz (maybe more).

On RX this does not work though - it appears you can only decode betwe= en 1.4-1.6kHz - so I up-convert with my VLF converter (see my website) to= 12MHz and into the FT817 and SignaLink USB and the PC.

As an experiment I changed over to my wife's laptop and got immed= iate decodes of G6ALB's VLF earth mode signal (3km) at -17dB S/N, sugg= esting the issue with lack of decodes may be with my soundcard and not And= rew's.

1408 -17 -0.6=A0=A0 0.008986=A0 0 G6ALB JO02 47
1410 -17 -0.6=A0=A0 0.008986=A0 0 G6ALB JO02 47
1412 -17 -1.2=A0=A0 0.008986=A0 0 G6ALB JO02 47
1414 -17 -0.8=A0=A0 0.008986=A0 0 G6ALB JO02 47
1416 -17 -0.8=A0=A0 0.008986=A0 0 G6ALB JO02 47

This is a very solid signal on the 80m square single turn vertical wire lo= op antenna. Andrew is using 44W to an earth electrode antenna.
