Yes activity on the bands below 160m has been low. However there is always=
 some=20
kind of activity going on. These frequencies are populated by a very small=
 and=20
specialised group=A0so=A0LF will never be like 20m on a good day.
I think we are lucky to have very active stations like yourself=A0, Chris=
 XIZ,=20
Stefan, Markus to only name a very few who are showing what can be done by=
=20
Amateur Radio ops=A0on these very low frequencies. On VLF it is very early=
 days=20
and I for one have been amazed at the results to date.

IMHO=A0the work being done on MF/LF and VLF is real Amateur Radio. =A0I'll=
 bet just=20
about every Amateur who has either received a signal or transmitted a sign=
al on=20
these frequencies, what ever their ability,=A0has leaned something complet=
ely new=20
about radio.

With Solar activity rising, the upper end of HF with its DX potential is=
 bound=20
to attract much more activity than these lower frequencies.

The time for a change=A0within UK Amateur Radio has come but its not among=
 the Ops=20
and experimenters=A0in the LF part of the spectrum where the change is rea=
lly=20
needed..

from the UK especially poor=A0in spite of=A0several stations being permitt=
ed to=20
operate on the 9 khz band.
Time for a change!!
