See http://www.g4jnt.com/BcnKeyer.htm It can be user-reprogrammed via a serial interface (1200 baud) using ASCII commands. The message can contain embedded commands to change the keying speed during the run,, include a range of programmable delays (with selectable key-up or key-down control for teh duration) and Tx/Rx switching. A range of QRSS speeds from 1s to 100s dot periods can be chosen, with a range of programmable delays from 10 to 360 seconds But please note, timing is determined by the on-chip RC oscillator, so only accurate to a couple of percent or so. Suitable for most standalone beaconing. but not suited to GPS timed precision keying (does anyone do this yet ?) As well as the original normal speed CW keyer, there is also now a version that can measure an analogue voltage and embed its value into the beacon message in a variety of user defined formats.
