"A couple of Hz"....is way too much off for seriously transmitting on VLF at low speeds. And low speeds are mostly required to detect the signal. A drift of 100mHz is the minimum requirement for transmitting on VLF, except you produce an outstanding strong signal at the site of reception. Generating the TX-frequency by SpecLab while locking at the same time either to GPS (via 10kHz tone) or a stable VLF transmitter like DHO38 or GQD enables you to keep the drift within 1mHz or even lower. SO 954=C2=B5Hz/bin (for QRSS3000) or half of it for 6000 is a proper resolution for receiving VLF. 73 OE3GHB Gerhard =20 Am Dienstag, den 08.03.2011, 15:43 +0000 schrieb mal hamilton: > Gary es Co > Apart from antennas etc anyone a couple of hz off frequency will not > be seen, and like I said what I have seen so far are not that stable > The aim surely on 9 kcs is to generate a reasonable erp that can be > copied at say QRS 60 or faster. > g3kev > =20 > ----- Original Message -----=20 > From: Gary - G4WGT=20 > To: rsgb_lf_group@blacksheep.org=20 > Sent: Tuesday, March 08, 2011 3:12 PM > Subject: Re: LF: 8.970.025Khz > =20 > =20 > Hi Mal,=20 > =20 > =20 > I believe I would as well if I had the antenna's you have but > they won't fit in my small garden. > =20 > =20 > Cheers, Gary - G4WGT. > =20 > =20 > =20 > On 8 March 2011 14:42, mal hamilton > wrote: > That is why they see nothing except local signals.
