However considering the 20W ERP assume this will not be a big problem against the 30kW used by coast stations at that time. Also the density of users is very low. More interesting is that FCC admits a lower frequency. It is expected that in the EU 495-505kHz will be (re)-allocated to the maritime service for digital broadcast. Mainly for the high traffic EU waters. The ITU-recommendation report is interesting reading stuff and most probably compiled with data "we" provided.
