I, personally, love Oo,s versatility and find it an extremely rare occasion that I am unable to read or convert a document with the facilities provided. I have in the past used it with a well-known bloatware OS in which it also ran extremely well but proved prone to intruder interference until the windows and gates were closed! It has to be said that my various PC's suffer from far fewer germs and large wooden horses tho' the the shade of blue often painted on my screen could be rather attractive! 73 On Sun, 2011-01-16 at 17:49 +0000, Stephen McAdam wrote: > Hi John > Yes you can, I've just opened the three documents using Open Office > and saved them in Open Office Document format. > Regards > Steve, G4VDB > > > On Sun, Jan 16, 2011 at 5:33 PM, John Rabson > wrote: > Will it run Open Office? > > > John F5VLF > > > On 16 Jan 2011, at 18:20CET, Laurence KL7UK wrote: > > > For those that have word.doc I commend reading Bill > > Ashlocks' 2 part series on Loops and conductor sizing etc > > via Mike WE0H's link > > http://www.we0h.us/Amateur_Radio_stuff/Transmitting-Loops/Bill-Ashlock-documents/ > > > > ...must get a .doc reader on this old monster of a PC.. > > > > Laurence KL7 UK / 5 > > > > > -- 73 es gd dx de pat g4gvw qth nr felixstowe uk (east coast, county of suffolk)
