Its exactly what I did with my first 73khz SLOWCW Tx  prog= back in 1997.   SLOWCW was generated, and a part of the 'mark'= signal consisted of the callsign being sent at normal CW speeds for ident= ification.   G3PLX could see this fast CW on his received warerf= all as a definte reduction in carrier power.
