Most people are interested in the weekend. So i try to do it on the weekend. Maybe i will do the 8th experiment in 2 weeks or so. I hope so. The wind is spontaneous so i have to be it as well ;-) I am looking for the wind forecast at http://www.windfinder.com/forecast/frankfurt The wind has to come from SW (e.g. NE is always unstable!) and has to be at least 12 km/h or 3 bft. Laurence, it would be very interesting if you could send us a capture of what you receive over there. Means, a capture from 0...24 kHz, covering several hours, including the daily QRN minimum at your QTH. It could help us planning what is the best time for a longer transmission for you. If you are using SpecLab (?) i could send you a suitable usr file... 73, Stefan Am 05.10.2010 01:39, schrieb Laurence KL7UK: > Stefan - when is the 8th experiment planned for? :-)) - I got a couple > of hours at dawn this morning to sort out the VLF receiver (SDR IQ)and > noise mitigation here in AK before getting on the plane. = and pleased > with the results - now using L400B probe which has a good notch in the > MW bsct band and Ive stopped getting mixing artifacts every > 10Khz...Volts/m in the 550/600KHz range here > > Laurence KL 7 UK/AM > --------------070404030306040404040106 Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hi Laurence,

Stefan - when is the 8th experiment planned for? :-)) - I got a couple of hours at dawn this morning to sort out the VLF receiver (SDR IQ)and noise mitigation here in AK before getting on the plane. = and pleased with the results - now using L400B probe which has a good notch in the MW bsct band and Ive stopped getting mixing artifacts every 10Khz...Volts/m in the 550/600KHz range here
