This is a loss of 54dB, which sounds about right. Later today I'll compare levels in the local areas against those obtained using the earth electrode antenna (used to get 14.9km a few weeks ago). Should any of the nearer locals be able to look for the beacon signal, *I'd appreciate screen shots and reports*. Next step is to crack on with the TX part of the transverter and increase the PA output from 2W currently to more like 20W. 73s Roger G3XBM -- http://g3xbm-qrp.blogspot.com/ http://www.g3xbm.co.uk http://www.youtube.com/user/g3xbm G3XBM GQRP 1678 ISWL G11088 --001636c598666774fc048ddb72d6 Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Having simply tuned and matched my 5m coax plus 28MHz halo (as a top capac= ity hat) I'm now putting out the grand level of 8uW (+/-3dB) on 136.93= kHz in QRSS3 from my 2W out beacon TX.
