This means the area enclosed by the loop part in the air has increased some 3 to 4 times but that part within the ground between the electrodes is unchanged. On 500kHz WSPR I'm ~6dB stronger with M0BMU at 69kms than it was on the original earth electrode antenna. *This evening I'm going to try 137.675kHz QRSS3 beaconing with this new set-up and would appreciate reports.* 73s Roger G3XBM -- http://g3xbm-qrp.blogspot.com/ http://www.g3xbm.co.uk http://www.youtube.com/user/g3xbm G3XBM GQRP 1678 ISWL G11088 --0016e6db6c6182c05e048f2017bd Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Today I've changed my earth electrode antenna system: instead of runni= ng the wire to the far electrode along the garden fence only about 1.5m in= the air I've now made the wire form a loop, bringing the wire up in= the air some 4m, running it back to the house about 17m to the top of my= pole, then down 6m vertically and into the house.
