Your CQ call on 136.5kHz at 7pm was copied at 559 here on th= e earth electrode antenna and straight into the FT817, which is deaf on 13= 6kHz. I'll send you the recording.

No TX gear on the band=A0 ..= ..yet.

I took a listen dow= n on 136kHz last night Chris, using my 500kHz
resonant vertical and my= Datong UC/1. I heard you calling CQ on CW, and
presumably you also on QRSS something or other a bit later. The antenna
of course was WAY off resonance so you were pre= tty weak - DCF39 was
only s8.

This morning I tried resonating th= e vertical on 136 using the old
'bucket' inductors I used when= I was last on the band, which are still
in the dustbin by the vertical. The resulting 9.8mH should according tomy calculations have brought it to resonance on around 136, but my
AA2= 00 shows no resonance only a very slight dip at 400kHz and it now
seems= even worse with DCF39 only s7...

I shall be racking my brains over the next few days over why the theor= y
doesn't seem to work! This will be receive only, I have no plans= to get
transmitting again as my old transverter is very much in bits= nowadays.
