I took=20 a listen down on 136kHz last night Chris, using my 500kHz
resonan= t vertical=20 and my Datong UC/1. I heard you calling CQ on CW, and
presumably= you also=20 on QRSS something or other a bit later. The antenna
of course was= WAY off=20 resonance so you were pretty weak - DCF39 was
only s8.

Thi= s morning=20 I tried resonating the vertical on 136 using the old
'bucket' ind= uctors I=20 used when I was last on the band, which are still
in the dustbin= by the=20 vertical. The resulting 9.8mH should according to
my calculations= have=20 brought it to resonance on around 136, but my
AA200 shows no reso= nance only=20 a very slight dip at 400kHz and it now
seems even worse with DCF3= 9 only=20 s7...

I shall be racking my brains over the next few days ove= r why the=20 theory
doesn't seem to work! This will be receive only, I have no= plans to=20 get
transmitting again as my old transverter is very much in bits= =20 nowadays.
