The resultant spicy "sausage" is boiled and usually served with potatoes and turnip "tatties an' neaps". Often on Burns Night haggis is "piped in" by a man in a kilt playing the bagpipes and then there is the saying of the Burns grace. Some hae meat but cannae eat And some would that had it But we hae meat and we can eat And sae the Lord be thanked The appetizer is usually vegetable soup and the desert is apple and oatmeal all washed down with a nice single malt Contrary to the contributions of others, Haggis are not flighted, not wild and are not shot!! For my own personal view it tastes pants and I prefer fish and chips! -----Original Message----- From: owner-rsgb_lf_group@blacksheep.org [mailto:owner-rsgb_lf_group@blacksheep.org] On Behalf Of Mike-WE0H Sent: 25 June 2010 22:47 To: rsgb_lf_group@blacksheep.org Subject: LF: OT: Haggis in Scotland http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haggis http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wild_Haggis Hmmm, so what is it?
