The manager of my ISP happens to be a personal friend, so I had a good ear to pour out my= problems to. He provided me with a diplexer which essentially separates the phone and= the ADSL at the entry point of the underground service cable. Installing it and replacing the QUAD wire to= the modem with CAT5 wire solved both of the issues and I've had clear/fast operations since. 73, J.B., VE3EAR LowFER Beacon "EAR" 188.830 kHz. QRSS30
