Why? 1. Messages can be read on-line if preferred and it is not necessary to download messages to a mail programme. 2. Files could be stored - useful for circuits, written reports, pdf documents etc 3. Photos could be stored on the group website (massive 100GB storage!) 4. All messages are archived and can be searched easily, even years later 5. Messages can be filtered/moderated if needed and offenders banned 6. Databases can be created 7. Pages of useful links can be created 8. Moderation is easy and can be done by several individuals. 9. Messages can still be received as emails if preferred. 10. Polls can be created etc etc I have run a couple of Yahoo Groups now for several years (Miracle Whip and VHFam) and there have been absolutely no problems at all. The first has over 1100 members and the second around 200. So, my question is why don't we set one up and all migrate? I think everyone would benefit. 73s Roger G3XBM -- http://g3xbm-qrp.blogspot.com/ http://www.g3xbm.co.uk http://www.youtube.com/user/G3XBM G3XBM GQRP 1678 ISWL G11088 --000325559a9a5ce39e048126ba05 Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Although I enjoy this group it would be much better if it was a Yahoo Grou= p.
