I have an amp that will easily put 500w plus into a 2 ohm load at audio frequencies. These amps are readily available to everyone. I think the earth probe antennas would be a worthwhile experiment, but who knows what will develop on this band with vertical efficiency. It surely would be interesting to have a fellow put up a huge vertical and see how far it goes when matched properly and driven with a kilowatt plus amp. Being close to the salt water may be a big benefit at audio freq's too. Don't know until we get someone to give it a try. Cross the pond from UK to Eu? Maybe possible...The progress on the LF and MF bands has shown that anything can be done when many people take part in the experiment and share their knowledge. Now where does a guy buy those huge balloons to hang a vertical from? I'd be interested in trying that if helium is not too expensive on this side of the pond.
