Today i again added some turn to the coil. Now= it has L =3D 550mH, just optimal. My antenna has C=3D580pF (measured on 137kHz). When theoretically calculat= ing the C of a 100m vertical, you achieve almost the same. I measured the= resonance with the DDS-VFO and a series circuit of the L and a C of 570pF= (470+100). Now the resonance is @ 8964 Hz! :-) Q=3D82 and R(DC) 283 Ohm.= Bandwidth is 109 Hz. Tomorrow i built an additional variometer coil with about 30mH. Then i giv= e the rest of the wire back to the company where i have got it and have to= pay abt 13 Euro/kg, pretty cheep ;-) Then, in the next days i will apply a Amperemeter for 1A full range into= the coil :-) About the Q you assumed that it will be worse in the field but i do not so= since if we imagine the stray field of such a coil, it was rather influen= ced in the house than later in the field. BTW, today i tried to vary the resonance by applying a ferrite rod into th= e field (0,1m long and 10mm diameter) but almost nothing happend!
