Do you (or others) have any experience with that > ? Rik Using Perseus, HP-3586C SLM and soundcard here...all have their advantages. The sound card (Delta 44) method works extremely well. I use Winrad software for general listening/tuning around and SpectrumLab for the capture and data gathering applications. The two can be used simultaneously. The SLM is good for accurate signal strength measurements...and it has a tracking generator output which is handy for testing transformers, filters, amplifiers, etc. Perseus also works well and allows one to record the entire band for later playback and signal analysis. It's an excellent addition to the shack for a number of other receiving applications but expensive for just VLF work. Jay
