FT817 and a 500KHz SDR RX (modified Softrock Lite V6.2 for 160m) TX options. Had built a M0BMU TX PA unit long time ago (but never added PA MOSFET's) as no NoV at the time. I have both ceramic osc (either 4/8MHz), a FCC1/FCC2 AD DDS, K5BCQ Si570 DDS or AMQRP DDS-60 all that can be fed into a 4020 or 4060 divider to obtain 501-504KHz signal. Then into 4427 and M0BMU TX or a two stage 2N3904 buffer and then PA. I have an 11W (at 160m) bipolar transformer PA that could be used as well as a couple IRF50 options. Been sent a copy of the GW3UEP schematic which is another 4/8MHz oscillator and divider/pa stage. I might, If you know the ECL82 glowbug circuit I was going to try and recreate using an ECL84 (triode/pentode) and grind a 500KHz crystal. Expect will be keying things manually initially, QRS, as per xband 80m/500KHz qso from 2008, so sql cards hopefully. Ant will be inverted L with 10m vertical section and c40m horizontal. VSWR meter almost complete as located some 3C85 toroids and some 2SC2166 for the PA so maybe a Marathon??? 7 pole LPF ready. 72 Dom M1KTA On 11 February 2010 17:04, Graham wrote: > Congrats , Dom > Bands =A0a =A0bit =A0full these =A0days , but always =A0room for =A0one= more ..hi > What tx system are =A0you using ? > 73 , Graham , > -------------------------------------------------- > From: "Dominic Baines" > Sent: Thursday, February 11, 2010 3:02 PM > To: "rsgb lf group" > Subject: LF: New NoV > >> >> Hi all, >> >> I just RX my SRP/NoV for 501-504kHz. >> Hope to have my station up and running for TX as soon as possible. >> Thanks for all those who since 2008 have so far had a cross band qso >> perhaps we can manage a qso on 500kHz now. >> Will focus on CW initially. >> >> 72 >> >> Dom >> M1KTA >> >> > > > >
