I am not involved with the group, I join= ed only to read the interesting mails & discussions & do not get= involved. Just the occasional response from me. I know that some members= also subscribe here to LF.

You could subscribe yourself & I am sure you would= be made very welcome & share experiences with the other members. I ha= ve seen that they are very helpful to each other.

I can receive down to about 5kHz or so with my transverter (performance no= t measured) & lower with sound card receivers & I do occasionally= tune down & look/listen.

Good Luck with your= project es 73,

Tnx Gary and the group for that excellent discussion!

Maybe, if you are involved in that VLF group, you can give them a hint wha= t is happening here in the last days ;-))
I rather will spend my time for setting up that vertical TX antenna on 8,9= kHz... I will start in 30min, driving to my parents, where my "electr= onic-lab" is ;-) Building that PA, tmw getting and testing and resona= ting that coil. Testing the PA at the coil (if there are HV and heating pr= oblems). Perhaps, if everything, including the wind, will be right, i will= try a transmission on sunday morning but that is still uncertain and i wo= uld tell it to the group before.
I wrote a mail to some Lowfers in my region if it's possible to RX the= re. Bernd/DF8ZR is just abt 16km away from my /p QTH and well equipped on= low frequencies. Marco/DD7PC is abt 45km away...

73, Stefan/DK7FC

Hi Stefan, LF,

There is a VLF Group at the following :-

http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/VLF_Group/

<http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/VLF_Group/> The members di= scuss & are involved in a different field of VLF, mainly in "natu= ral radio"

Have a look at some of the discussions, it is an interesting & informa= tive group.

73, Gary - G4WGT.

=A0 =A0 =A0 =A0Which commercial VLF transmitters can actually be received= in the 10kHz range? There is much listed in the web but in times where th= ese transmitters are shut down all this may be already old stuff. Who is= receiving in this frequency region and can tell us a frequency and the SN= R he is achieving? There are so many OMs who watch the VLF sector and have= nothing done with LF and this group. Perhaps it it an idea to activate/mo= tivate them for some tests, to increase the RXers density.
=A0 =A0 =A0 =A0Maybe it is good to compare some RX rprts in that region.= But i will rather be active at the transmitters front now ;-)
