It was only 3 meters away from the transmitti= ngantenna,500 Watt in the range 136KHz-3,8MHz never has been any probl= em for the past 4 years.. Optimum whiplenght in this aerea 60cm. 73 Victor PA3FNY -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- Van: owner-rsgb_lf_group@blacksheep.org [mailto:owner-rsgb_lf_group@blacksheep.org]Namens Rik Strobbe Verzonden: donderdag 3 december 2009 19:46 Aan: rsgb_lf_group@blacksheep.org; RoelofBakker Onderwerp: Re: LF: Results of optimising an active antenna Roelof, I cannot agree, a Belgian beer can will provide at least 10dB better= SNR ;-) Now serious: I have been thinking about a simple but good RX antenna= =20 for LF, MF and the lower HF range and you mini-whip seems the right = =20 solution. But will the preamp survive when pumping a few 100W into my 500kHz TX= =20 antenna (lazy-L) that will be only 25m away ? 73, Rik ON7YD - OR7T Quoting Roelof Bakker : > Hello Alberto, > > I am not much in beer myself, but there seems to be a famous Dutch= brand, > that I can recommend! > > 73, > Roelof, pa0rdt > >
