I'm curious; how much bandwidth does a carrier occupy ??? Further, a modulated carrier with the intelligence 1,500 cycles from the carrier center ferquency ??? Which carrier would produce the most adjacent frequency QRM; a 100 watt WSPR carrier, or a 100 watt 20 Wpm CW carrier ??? Does the On/Off repition rate of the carrier itself coupled with the power transmitted determine the bandwidth occupied ??? Who really causes QRM to a close by station with a strong signal??? Most WSPR OPs are low power; Many CW OPs are " as high as they can get it ". The issue of carrier related QRM is only related to a strong nearby signal that affects receiver AGC. Weak signals are of insignificant occurence. Using a 500 Hz CW filter; how far " Down " in dB's would WSPR tones be attenuated if you're operating 100 Hz away from the WSPR carrier ???
