Well done! You are booming into Biggleswade! You used to be in the -20db and below zone now its -11 and better. Uber QRO and you make me look very QRPp!! My problem is down to lack of vertical height (5.5M) and lousy earth (50 ohm at a guesstimate). I'm going to ask Santa for 2 sets of swaged poles to give me 40' height and then run a lot more earths and radials out. With that I calculate I can go from about 0.1% eff up to 2% and get abt 500mW erp. The 28MHz halo up at the top of the 5-6m vertical section (which was the coax feed to the 28MHz halo) was removed and replaced by a spiral inductance/ top capacity hat consisting of around around 8 "spiralling in" turns in the space occupied by the original halo. Seeing my initial reports from M0BMU I am some 5-6dB stronger than I was before, I guess because more of the antenna current is in the vertical section. The measured antenna current is not much different though. Please listen for me on 500kHz WSPR and let me know if I am now stronger than before. 73s Roger G3XBM -- ------------------------------------------------------------- http://g3xbm-qrp.blogspot.com/ http://www.g3xbm.co.uk G3XBM GQRP 1678 ISWL G11088 ------=_NextPart_000_001F_01CA5F22.EC89C8A0 Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

Today I modified my 500kHz antenna. The 28MHz= halo up at the top of the 5-6m vertical section (which was the coax feed to the 28MHz halo) was= removed and replaced by a spiral inductance/ top capacity hat consisting of ar= ound around 8 "spiralling in" turns in the space occupied by the= original halo.  Seeing my initial reports from M0BMU I am some 5-6dB st= ronger than I was before, I guess because more of the antenna current is in= the vertical section. The measured antenna current is not much different= though.

Please listen for me on 500kHz= WSPR and let me know if I am now stronger than before.
