Well, I really do understand Mal's position - we're all entitled to express our individual views (and thank goodness too) - but I have been totally "blown away" by WSPR on HF/VHF and feel I'm becoming a bit of a "WSPR evangelist", so I apologise if this is coming on a bit too strong, HI. Certainly if you plan to TX any WSPR in the coming weeks on 136 or 500kHz then do please let me know where and when and I'll be listening and reporting. Looking forward to hearing some WSPR on the LF bands. Thanks for this.

Well, I really do understand Mal&= #39;s position - we're all entitled to express our individual views (a= nd thank goodness too) - but I have been totally=A0 "blown away"= by WSPR on HF/VHF and feel I'm becoming a bit of a "WSPR evangel= ist", so I apologise if this is coming on a bit too strong, HI.

Certainly if you plan to TX any WSPR in the coming weeks on 136 or 500= kHz then do please let me know where and when and I'll be listening an= d reporting. Looking forward to hearing some WSPR on the LF bands.

Dear Roger, LF= Group,

Please bear in mind that G3KEV does not speak for "us guys", onl= y himself. Over the years we have learned to ignore him most of the time= - if we took much notice, we would all have given up a long time ago.

If you look in the WSPR on-line database specifying the band as "LF/V= LF", you will see that there has been quite a lot of WSPR activity ov= er the last year on 136k and 500k, which has been one of the more successf= ul digital modes in this part of the spectrum. The points you make regardi= ng narrow bandwidth and low power are certainly useful at LF/MF. The summe= r months are usually rather lacking in activity due to the short nights an= d high QRN, but activity, no doubt including WSPR, will be picking up soon= as we get into autumn.

The M0BMU LF/MF station is currently QRT due to a recent visit from relati= ves - all those pretty coloured wires and 3-year-olds don't really mix= ! It will probably be put back together this weekend though, so if you are= interested in trying WSPR on 136k or 500k, let me know.

Cheers, Jim Moritz

...But it's *not* my place to tell you guys how to use the LF bands so= with

this, I'll leave you to it and get back on 10m WSPR, CW and SSB. =A0Go= od luck
with whatever modes you enjoy.
