This is an interesting idea. Extending on that idea, if the lower end of the wire was connected to some radials and the upper ends was fed against earth might that work? Instead of a capacity hat it would perhaps be a capacity bottom antenna. Setting up such a system could be hard though. I have not abseiled in a long time. 73 Richard G3CWI
