I just finished a transverter + linear PA and it was one of the first =20 on-air tests. Transverter: 4.5MHz to 500kHz with 4MHz xtal osc + SBL1 mixer + buffer =20 amp 50mW out PA: modified 3-30MHz PA, just changed the input and output transformers. Output is about 100W (1.5A antenna current) Power is about 4dB down on the other (class D) PA, but modifying an =20 existing PA was the fast option. I hope to run some first digital tests (PSK, WSPR, RTTY ...) during =20 the next weeks. Maybe I'll try to build a "big" 500kHz linear PA (> 300W) in summer. Building a 500kHz modified version of the G3YXM linear PA for 160-40m =20 (http://wireless.org.uk/throb.htm) looks tempting, anyone tried this =20 already ? 73, Rik ON7YD - OR7T Quoting "Beckmann, Gerhard" : > > > Hello Rik, LF > > > > heard your Test_Call (OR7T) on 502,7 KHz in Regular CW-Mode with 559 > > in JN59LN. > > > > vy 73 de Gerhard // DK6NI > > > > =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D > > > > > > > > > >
